Assignments to be successfully completed in order to receive credit for this course:
There will be a great emphasis on critical thinking, writing and basic study skills in this course. In addition to traditional tests students will be asked to tap into their critical thinking skills in order to write short papers and to complete research projects. There will be several major tests per quarter and frequent quizzes. Quizzes will be both with warning and without. Daily homework assignments might include: text/ primary source document reading and notes, current event reports, internet research, etc. Class participation and therefore attendance are mandatory. (See student handbook for policy on attendance and tardiness.) Your notebook will be a 3-ring binder with sections for each topic that we study. Notes should be one-sided only. We will be using a chrome extension called Kami to help us annotate maps and texts as well as write on pdfs.
I do not use ASPEN for daily grading. I often check assignments on Google Classroom but I do not calculate grades there. Please email with questions or if you would every like an update
